Chapter
Pestonji Kapadia No. 48 under Grand Lodge
of India constituency was consecrated in
Mumbai on 14 th December, 1963 . However,
it became non-functional later on and was held
in abeyance under the Regional Grand Chapter
of Western India .
A number of enthusiastic Brethren of Lodge
Fellowship No. 140, Ahmedabad were eager to
establish Royal Arch Masons Chapter in Ahmedabad,
as there was none under Grand Lodge of India
constituency in Ahmedabad. Regional Grand Chapter
of Western India ,
therefore, allotted already consecrated Chapter
Pestonji Kapadia No. 48, but held in abeyance,
to be revived in Ahmedabad. So, Chapter Pestonji
Kapadia No. 48 became functional in Ahmedabad
on 22/06/1984 .
At present, there are 27 companions on the Register of Chapter Pestonji Kapadia No. 48. Principal officers of the chapter for the year 2007 are:
Convocations of the Chapter are held
on 1st Saturday of January, March, July, September
and November, Installation Convocation is in
January.
